About Depuis

Every woman
has a story.

Safe to share. Sacred to tell.

  • Not the polished version.
  • Not the version shaped to protect other people.
  • Not the version told about her.
  • The story as she lived it.
  • In her words. On her terms.
01The Movement

Depuis is a global women’s storytelling movement and living archive of honest, first-person stories. Across generations, cultures, and circumstances, women share the experiences that have shaped their lives — without judgment, interruption, or pressure to make their stories easier to hear.

Because too many women are still carrying entire chapters of their lives in silence.

Shame tells her to keep it buried.

Comparison tells her someone else had it worse.

Fear tells her they will see her differently.

Silence tells her no one could possibly understand.

But the moment one woman tells the truth, another woman recognizes herself.

“This happened to me.”

She hears someone say it, and realizes that what she has carried in private is part of a larger human experience. That recognition can change a life.

Every story has the power to reach two people: the woman who tells it — and the person who finally feels understood because she did.

No spectacle. Full truth.

We are not here for spectacle.

Depuis does not sensationalize pain, reduce women to their hardest experiences, or turn vulnerability into entertainment. We make room for the full truth.

Her story does not need a perfect ending to matter. It does not need to inspire, instruct, or explain itself.

It only needs to be hers.

When a woman tells the truth of her own life, she reclaims the right to decide what that life means.

02Why This Matters

This movement belongs to everyone.

Through professionally produced interviews, educational content, community gatherings, and global partnerships, Depuis is preserving women’s lived experiences in their own voices. Together, these stories challenge stereotypes, deepen empathy, and break down the invisible barriers that separate us: shame, judgment, comparison, competition, and the belief that our differences are greater than our shared humanity.

  • The fathers who want to understand their daughters.
  • The partners who want to listen more deeply.
  • The sons who want to inherit a more honest world.
  • The leaders, educators, creators, and communities who believe people should be understood before they are judged.

When we truly hear another person’s story, labels begin to fall away. Assumptions weaken. Distance becomes recognition.

We stop seeing a category.
We see a human being.

03What We Are Building

A world where women do not have to earn the right to speak.

  • Where vulnerability is protected, not exploited.
  • Where honesty is met with dignity.
  • Where a woman’s story belongs to her.
  • Where no one believes she is the only person carrying what she carries.

We believe stories can return what silence takes away.

When women tell the truth, the world does not simply hear more stories.
It becomes more human.

In her words. On her terms.

This is Depuis.
